The quality of craftsman on this knife is absolutely wonderful. It's one of the nicer knives that I own.
it's designed well. It's well balanced, and light, it's a great knife to add to the collection.
The balance is perfect, the blade is rock solid in the handle (which completely disappears in your hand), and the edge came beautifully finished and very symmetrically ground. I consider myself quite OCD when it comes to knives, and have owned quite a few that are well over $X,XXX each. Some-how this little $150 (at time of review) Steadfast Talon stands out amongst them. I talked to the owner very briefly through social media comments, and he seems unreasonably humble for what he's offering. To be honest, I purchased a talon to try and help out a new maker who looked like he was doing something interesting, and hoped that I would end up with a cool knife that I could carry either daily in my lunch bag, or in my kill kit while hunting. Unfortunately, this knifes one flaw is that it might just be too pretty to use in the way I intended. Not that it wouldn't handle it, I just really wasn't expecting to get something of this caliber for what I paid.
I will absolutely come back to steadfast ind. in the future, and given the competition I don't think there's any other fixed-blade ultralight that could even come close to getting my recommendation now. Thanks man, you've made me one extremely satisfied customer.
